Grayson Rosen Counseling

Toward embracing what makes you uniquely you, building a life that works for you, and healing the wounds that still need tending.

Counseling Approach

I specialize in supporting clients in self-exploration, identity development, building self-compassion, and embracing neurodivergence. As a queer and neurodivergent person myself, I strive to create an environment where people of all gender identities, attraction patterns, relational orientations, and neurotypes feel affirmed and can develop pride in who they are. My approach is rooted in empathy and non-judgmental acceptance and is built upon the practice of deep listening. Establishing a trusting relationship is my first priority.

I work with adults who are experiencing anxiety, depression, burnout, relationship issues, life transitions, trauma, and the everyday stress of living in difficult times. I’m passionate about helping people build lives in alignment with their values.

I bring compassionate curiosity to the counseling space, and I amplify strengths while gently exploring current patterns to identify what may no longer be serving you. My approach is collaborative, trauma-aware, informed by queer theory and narrative therapy, incorporates parts work, and is tailored to meet your unique needs and goals.

About Me

I've done most of my self-discovery - including changing careers from international education to counseling - in my 30s, bringing my family and friends through layer after layer of identity updates: non-religious, queer, trans, neurodivergent, polyamorous. Each has brought growing pains, losses to grieve, and joys to delight in. I continue to spiral down into knowing myself better and learning new ways of being - both with myself and in relationships.

Outside the counseling room you'll often find me reading (literally under trees if the weather allows!), doting on my cat, singing in a queer choir, or watching a show with a crunchy snack. You'll also occasionally find me at metal shows, orchestra concerts, and shopping for more cool rocks to fidget with or more books to add to my bookshelves.

Working with queer, trans, and neurodivergent (Autistic, ADHD, & AuDHD) adults who are navigating identity discovery or who are looking to build a better self-image and incorporate strategies that work for their brains and identities.

I have experience working with anxiety, depression, burnout, grief, trauma, emotional regulation, coping strategies, relationship issues (monogamous, polyamorous, family, and found-family), communication skills, self esteem & self-compassion, and processing spiritual abuse or religious trauma.

I am a private pay counselor; I can accept payment via debit or credit card, cash, check, or Health Savings Account. I can provide a receipt (superbill) with the diagnostic coding that your insurance company would need to process out of network reimbursement. Full fee individual sessions are $150 per 60 minutes. I offer a sliding scale for eligible clients. Please don't hesitate to ask about reduced rates if my full fee is inaccessible to you.

I’m currently available to see Missouri-based clients online and offer in-person sessions in St. Louis at Creative Therapy Collective.
